SeaDaddy’s Adventures offers Full day Scallop trips up to 6 hours or limit out, 1/2 day up to 4 hours or limit out. While snorkeling in the Gulf of Mexico you will search for the Bay Scallops, plucking them from the grass most of the time. You will be in shallower water 2-6 feet however the depth could be deeper. Please note we also offer scuba diving trips in the Gulf as well and we will provide everything you need for a successful hunt. Watch in amazement as the live scallop move gracefully and elegantly through the water!
You may bring a small cooler with drinks, snacks etc. Prepared as if you are going to the beach for the day. Your U.S. Coast Guard Captain will lead the way searching for that perfect scallop snorkeling spot as some guest like to refer to as “Easter Egg Hunting for Adults”. Make no mistake this is a Awesome Family and Friends Adventure as most guest any age can enjoy this trip . Everyone should scallop at least once, DISCLAIMER; beware Scalloping can become addictive and may require future visits with SeaDaddys!
Snorkeling gear is included, drinking water and a ice chest will be provided on your trip for your catch. You may take your meat home or request that we donate it for you. Wildlife you may encounter on your trip include manatees, many species of bird;Osprey, pelican & more, many species of fish; sheep head, tarpon and more, many species of turtle and dolphin sightings.
Scalloping is seasonal so book early because once the seats are sold we can not add seats. Just like our Manatee Swims, guest come from around the world to check this off their bucket list. Since seating is limited and seasonal our seats will not last long and normally sell out early. Trip requires a boat ride from marina to Gulf aprox. 40 min. – 1 hour, you can enjoy the ride out while your crew narrates the trip providing you with local information and are happy to answer any question you may have, have your cameras ready watch for the changing sky and wildlife/sealife along the way.
